Trainee Bank Branch Manager
Due to growth and expansion during 2008, we now have a number of exiting new opportunities with our banking client for Trainee Branch Managers throughout the Southeast.
As a Trainee Branch Manager, you will be responsible for supporting your Branch Manager in the daily management of the branch. You will be further responsible for a number of critical management activities as well as developing your own career towards full Branch Manager status.
Crucially, you will be responsible for managing the branch teams performance, ensuring the smooth running of the branch by dealing with customer complaints, branch layout, rotas, target setting and control, sales mentoring but more importantly, training your staff to ensure they are capable of dealing with their own business.
The initial training period is 6-9 months and naturally ongoing support is given and career development into running your own Branch is encouraged and supported through a defined training programme. Over the 6 months youll embark on a number of management courses, practical tasks and job functions, culminating in a permanent management placement within the area.
This is a key role within the Branch make-up and is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to gain entry into Bank Branch Management or re-liven their Branch Management career.. To be considered you will need to have displayed some managerial or supervisory experience within your current role. Ideally youll be coming from a high street background, either a Bank, Building Society or Retail Finance Outlet and be able to demonstrate that you have contributed towards the Branch or Stores success. Maybe youre a top performing Customer Adviser, Personal Banker or similar, looking for that move into management, or an assistant Branch Manager looking for a structured development programme. Salaries are dependant on your current earnings and experience but vary between £20,000 - £30,000 basic with £3-4,000 in bonuses available and a superb banking benefits package, including Private Health, Pension, Shares and 28 days holiday.
