My client our an international construction group, with total capability in the design, procurement and delivery of major projects across a full spectrum of global markets.

They currently employ more than 16000 people globally, of which 9000 are in the UK. My client’s annual turnover for 2004 was £1.6 billion.

The job:

The successful candidate will be undertaking Fit out projects on the stations, this is not include signal or track work. The Fit out projects will include work on suspended ceilings, partitions, dry lining, and refurbishments.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for handling 2 - 3 projects at once and each project worth in the region of £2 - £3m



Other day to day duties include:

• Agreeing contracts,

• Bills of quantity's

• Heading up team of around 3 Quantity Surveyor's

• Compensation events

• Prepare interim certificates



Requirements:

• The successful individual will have at 10+ years Commercial Experience in a Quantity Surveying position or will already be in a Senior Quantity Surveying position.

• Experience of managing a team of Quantity Surveyors will be advantageous for this role

• Fit out experience is essential

• Experience within the rail sector would be desirable

• RICS membership would be a strong advantage
