This leading Global Solutions company are currently looking for a Head of Risk and Compliance covering UK & Ireland, to work from London or The Midlands.
As Head of Risk and Compliance you will be reporting to the Regional Finance Director, and you will be responsible for providing assurance to the Company UK and Ireland Region Management board in relation to the management of risk, governance and compliance.
As Head of Risk and Compliance your duties will include:
• Advice and guidance to Region and businesses on controls / governance / risk audit and compliance frameworks and methodologies
• Co-ordination, oversight, monitoring and support to businesses
• Ongoing assessment of effectiveness of business Audit and Compliance functions and provision of support in resourcing these functions
• Monitor, assess and report on Health and Safety activities and issues across the Region
• Monitoring and supporting businesses in delivering actions to address Group audit recommendations
• Facilitating Group Internal Audit activity and support to the UK&I Region businesses in managing these audits
• Co-ordinate a regional investigative capability as required by the regional businesses calling upon appropriate associates as required
• Review and challenge the content and application of risk registers in the UK & Ireland Region and facilitate improvements where required
• Act as a source of advice to Excom members and business unit senior management on corporate governance, Health and safety, internal control and risk management, making pragmatic and commercially appropriate recommendations that mitigate exposure to risk
• Ensure that all statutory inspection, audit and reporting requirements are adhered to for health and safety, and liaise with enforcement authorities to ensure that all relevant information is available to them when required
The ideal Head of Risk and Compliance will have the following skills and experiences:
• Experienced, professional Internal Auditor / Risk Manager with proven PQE
• Excellent understanding of the principles and application of good corporate governance, risk management and health and safety principles
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organisation and at all levels
• Experience of managing and motivating a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to conduct investigations and produce detailed and objective reports.
• There is a requirement to travel frequently and widely across the regional businesses
In return you will receive a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 plus car, bonus and benefits
